Agency Workers Regulations

The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) were implemented on 1 October 2011. Ace Hire Recruits Ltd has created this guide to outline the primary entitlements that our temporary workers may possess under the AWR and to offer practical recommendations to assist you in determining the appropriate actions to take.

Whom do the AWR apply to?

The AWR apply to the temporary workers we supply to work on assignments for you.

What entitlements do temporary workers possess?

From day one on an assignment, a temporary worker we have supplied to you will have a right to use your facilities and amenities; e.g., canteen, drinks vending machine, car park, gym, crèche and “similar facilities” (AWR regulation 12).
Upon completion of 12 weeks on a comparable or identical assignment, a temporary worker provided by us will be entitled to fundamental working and employment conditions as if the worker had been directly hired by you.
